Brighton Conference Panel Series - Postponed

Dear LDID members,

As you would have heard from our HQ, following the unexpected and sudden passing of her Majesty the Queen and in line with a period of national mourning - we as a party has made the painful decision to cancel our upcoming Brighton Conference all together. This, regrettably, also includes LDID’s planned panels discussion and reception on Saturday 17th.

We would like to offer our apologies for this regrettable decision, our coordinator team plan to meet virtually with Myles this week to reach a decision on how to best proceed - on whether we are to postpone entirely until the Spring Conference or looking at feasibility of hosting something in London in the coming weeks.

We’ll keep you posted - and many thanks for your interests, enthusiasm as well as RSVPing to attend our event. We look forward to seeing you in the not so distant future.

With very best wishes,

Charlotte, Michael and Katie
LDID Coordinators

In Conversation with Layla Moran MP

We hope you will join us for an online event, In Conversation Layla Moran MP, hosted by the Coalition for Global Prosperity and LDID on Thursday 26 November at 18.00-19.00.

Education has the power to change lives. It creates knowledge, builds confidence, and breaks down barriers to opportunity. The UK has taken a leading role in global education, between 2011 and 2015 UK aid supported over 11 million children, including in some of the toughest places in the world. This event will explore how the new FCDO can continue with this critical work to ensure that poor and marginalised children are not left behind.

If you would like to attend, please register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_lJhcujd0TXWsXBSSYFUU_g

We encourage you to submit your questions to Layla in advance, at admin@coalitionforglobalprosperity.com.

For those unable to join, we will produce a piece for the LDID blog covering the discussion.
