What we do
LDID is a forum of development professionals and enthusiasts in the Lib Dems. We use our experience to support parliamentarians and promote Lib Dem work in the sector, as well as build relationships and provide opportunities for younger members.
Social
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS
Our quarterly social events are the core of LDID, where members meet, mix and exchange ideas. At Conference events, we connect with cross-party partner organisations to advance campaigns.
PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES
Younger members interested in the sector can benefit from the network we have at LDID, learning from members' experience and accessing job opportunities.
Advisory and Advocacy
Supporting parliamentarians
Our members can work closely with parliamentarians, contributing their expertise to Lib Dem work in Westminster.
PROMOTING LIB DEM development WORk
The Lib Dems are an outward-facing party, and we pride ourselves on our dedication to improving livelihoods abroad. As our members and parliamentarians tackle international development issues, we aim to showcase and facilitate this work through events, campaigns and media.
"The SDGs are universal; as Lib Dems, we should embrace them as the basis for our domestic and international policies."
